¿µ¹®³»¿ë (English Abstract) |
Recently, mobile virtual desktop infrastructure (mVDI) has emerged as a solution for mobile devices to utilize cloud resources. By remotely controlling virtual machines (VMs), all heavy computing tasks are moved to data center instead of processing at mobile devices. However, using remote desktop service by mobile devices is different from by PC; remote services can be temporarily disconnected by phone call, message, battery, wifi/3G, OS errors, etc. To save energy consumption, those running VMs should be changed to lower power states until mobile devices resume services. In this paper, we propose an energy efficiency policy to manage VMs states in data center. The simulation results show that our solution can save around 74.5% energy consumption in mobile cloud environment.
